Up Deer Creek without a Boatman Version 2.0

This exercise asks teams to determine what information is necessary to determine what the problem is, then to solve it.

The Situation

YOU ARE A GROUP that is paddling through the enormous proportions and scenic colours of the Grand Canyon in order to develop improved teamwork, decision-making, and leadership skills. You are equipped with a paddling raft, a supply craft, and two boatmen. Nine days ago, you left base at river mile 0 on a 15-day trip. From start to finish your journey will cover 226 miles over 130 rapids, the land dropping nearly 200 feet in elevation.
